The part number of this UKF8001 water filter has recently become a lot shorter and it’s now much easier to remember – so ordering yourself a replacement is very simple and easy.

The “AXX” has been dropped from the end of the UKF8001 water filter part number and now the new filter number is simply UKF8001 – how easy is that…

If you’re like me and either can’t or don’t want to remember long part numbers, you’ll now be very happy with the new nomenclature. I know I am!
WHY WAS THIS MAYTAG UKF8001AXX WATER FILTER PART NUMBER CHANGED?

Previously, all the different makes and models of refrigerators that used the Maytag water filter UKF8001AXX using alternate part numbers added up to a fairly large number – over 120 to be accurate. Maytag Appliance Repair in Santa Barbara via that source.

120+ different brand designations is a lot of different refrigerator filter part numbers to keep track of for just one filter, I know I sure can’t do it.

As consumers, we’re all very glad to have a new, simple to remember part number for our Maytag water filter, UKF8001 is just a lot easier and simpler to remember.

And. . .almost every one of the brand-specific, alternate water filter part numbers that were used for different refrigerator brands became obsolete when this cool, new filter came into the market to simplify our refrigerator water filter replacements.

WHAT FRIDGE BRANDS DOES THE NEW MAYTAG PURICLEAN II UKF8001 FILTER FIT?

The old Maytag water filter UKF8001AXX and it’s new replacement, the UKF8001 are both designed to fit Maytag, Kenmore, Jenn-Air and Amana refrigerators that use the water filter design which swings downward from the inside ceiling of the refrigerator.

Make sure to replace your old UKF8001AXX water filter with the new Maytag fridge water filter which is now part number UKF8001 and you’ll have great drinking water quality. . .as always!

Due to a lot of confusion with all the different part numbers, it was a wise move to change over to the Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 filter UKF8001AXX number – the short and simple number UKF8001 by itself is much easier to remember – simple is good.

HERE ARE THE FILTER’S TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 filter UKF8001AXX for refrigerators has a useful life of either 750 gallons or 6 months.

It’s rate of flow is 0.78 gpm and it has an operating pressure range of 35-125 pounds per square inch.

The UKF8001AXX replacement cartridge is designed to operate normally between 33 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 0.5 microns is the filter’s micron rating.

The filter measures 8 inches in length and 2.25 inches in diameter. The UPC code for the Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 filter UKF8001AXX version is 719881131429 and the filter is made in the United States.

This Maytag refrigerator water filter is certified by the NSF – additionally, it retains beneficial fluoride in the water as it reduces various chlorine tastes and odors.
THIS MAYTAG PURICLEAN II UKF8001 FILTER REDUCES A LOT OF SUBSTANCES – DO I HAVE ALL OF THEM IN MY WATER?

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN AND HOW TO CHANGE MY MAYTAG UKF8001AXX WATER FILTER?

This is a great use for empty store-bought bottled water containers. 😉
